At Tropical Babies Equipment Hire we pride ourselves on having clean, safe equipment and excellent customer service.

Tropical Babies Equipment Hire is all about "convenience coupled with comfort".

We have highchairs, porta cots, swings, jogger prams and toyboxes too. We also stock full size single foldaway beds for when your visitors arrive.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. That all hire equipment supplied remains the property of Tropical Babies Equipment Hire hereafter referred to as the “Supplier”. The “Hirer” is the person, firm, company, agent, corporation or public authority taking the suppliers equipment on hire.
  1. To pay hire charges as invoiced by the supplier.
  1. The supplier does not affect any insurance whatsoever on equipment hired. All insurance is the responsibility of the hirer. Any equipment lost, returned incomplete or damaged whilst on hire, shall be charged to the hirer, at current replacement costs.
  1. In the event of the hirer’s default in payment of charges and or return of equipment, the supplier and its agents shall have the right to terminate the hire agreement and to enter the hirer’s premises to recover the equipment, the hirer agrees to grant access to the supplier equipment when called upon to do so.
  1. The supplier must be notified of hirer’s change of address with in five days of such a change.
  1. All hire equipment must be returned in clean condition. Failure to do so will incur a cleaning charge at the supplier’s discretion.
  1. The hirer acknowledges that they have been instructed in safe and proper operation of the equipment. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the equipment hired is appropriate for the intended use.
  1. The Hirer agrees to, at all times, keep themselves acquainted with the state and condition of the equipment and ensure that it remains safe, serviceable and clean. In the event of equipment becoming unsafe, the Hirer must immediately notify the supplier. The Hirer agrees to be responsible for delivery and repair costs.
  1. The Hirer acknowledges the equipment to be hired is solely to be utilized in relation to infant children, and the use of the equipment may be limited or restricted due to the age, size and/or weight of the child/children for whom the Hirer intends to utilize the equipment.  The Supplier for their part will endeavour to notify the Hirer prior to the commencement of the hire, any limitations or restrictions on the equipment to be hired due to factors such as the age, size and/or weight of the child/children, BUT the Hirer acknowledges it is the Hirer’s sole responsibility to ensure the equipment conforms in all respects with any manufacturers requirements, legislation, Australian standards or other criteria published from time to time relating to the use of the items of equipment hired by the Hirer.  Further during  the period of the hire, the Hirer will regularly make their own enquiries to ensure the equipment still meets the criteria set by manufacturer, legislation, Australian standards or similar.
  1. The Supplier for their part will carry out an inspection of the equipment to be hired prior to the commencement of the hire and will, prior to the Hirer taking delivery of the equipment, examine and if necessary complete a checklist of items relating to the equipment which would be usual so as to satisfy the Hirer the equipment was in good working order and condition.  The Supplier does not warrant the fitness and/or suitability of any of the equipment or any parts of it for the intended use by the Hirer.
  1. The Hirer, during the period of hire, will at their own expense, keep the equipment in good and substantial repair and condition (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and keep the equipment insured against fire, loss, theft or damage from whatever cause however arising for the reasonable market value of such equipment.
  1. The Supplier, to the fullest extent as may be permitted by law, shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage and personal injury arising from or through the equipment, howsoever used during the period of hire, and the Hirer shall indemnify and keep indemnified, the Supplier for any loss the Supplier may suffer in respect of the same.
  1. The supplier reserves the right to revise the hire rate schedule without notice.
    1. The supplier reserves the right to charge a bond on all equipment hired. Refund of this bond is dependant upon return of equipment in good and clean condition as received.
    2. The supplier, in respect of the condition of the equipment hired, or its suitability for any particular purpose, will give no refund. Early cancellation will incur a delivery charge and will not be refunded.
